To create awareness amongst end users about the need for IS security in their workplace and its implementation in day-to-day activities.

Well-designed IS security policies are, by themselves, of little or no use unless all users of IS assets are aware of the need for maintaining the security of the IS assets assigned to them, and also their personal IS assets, if they work from remote locations. The course is designed to address this need. It does not seek to provide in-depth education or professional skills, but provides necessary inputs to develop "defence in depth" and also to provide adequate awareness to hold defaulters accountable for their acts of omission or commission.
