|
The HD-6000 cavity degausser
is a DoD approved special-purpose degausser designed
to completely erase computer hard drives. The
HD-6000 satisfies all U.S. Government regulations
including the DoD 5200.28-M for purging magnetic
disk media up to 3000 Oersteds and magnetic tape
media up to 2500 Oersteds. The HD-6000 is available
in floor model and rack mountable versions. The
HD-6000 satisfies all applicable regulations and
guidelines.

Scientific testing confirms this
degausser erases hard disk media with coercivity
ratings up to 3000 Oe and magnetic disk media
with coercivity ratings up to 2500 Oe.

Chamber accommodates all disk
drives to 3.5 in. (89mm) high by 6 in. (152mm)
wide by 10 in. (254mm) deep. Effective degaussing
field is 6 in. (152mm) square by 3.5 in. (89mm)
high.

Illuminated POWER switch, START
push-button and NORMAL and FAULT indicators with
audible alarm to announce cycle or warn of malfunction.
Chamber door with locking knob and safety interlock.
Backlit 48-character digital display prompts normal
operation, simple user-activated self-calibration
function, and comprehensive service and diagnostic
functions.
Process Evaluation feature allows operator to
obtain preventive maintenance when indicated.
