The Model HD-2000 Special Purpose Hard Disk Drive Degausser is a DoD and NSA approved cavity degausser for purging classified information from hard disk media, including one-third, one-half, and full height hard disk drives, without removing the disk platters from the drive.

Every inch of the hard disk passes through the degaussing magnetic field, thus ensuring uniform erasure on every drive. It meets stringent DoD requirements for purging classified information from all types of disk media up to 1500 oersteds. It is also approved to purge classified information from magnetic tapes up to 750 oersteds (nominal).

The Model HD-2000 degausser has a totally automatic operation, is designed for continuous use and is quiet, cool and efficient.

This machine is NSA and DOD approved. The machine also accepts diskettes, cassettes and reels up to 10.5" in diameter. The machine is equiped with an NAB hub as standard and adapters must be purchased to degauss any other kind of media (including hard drives).
