McAfee IntruShield Outperforms Competition
in Network Intrusion Prevention Solution Category
Network Associates, Inc. (NYSE: NET), the leading provider
of intrusion prevention solutions, today announced that the
McAfee IntruShield has again been named the winner of CMP
Media LLC's Network Computing Well-Connected Awards for intrusion
prevention solutions. For the second consecutive year, McAfee
IntruShield has won this prestigious award as the leading,
innovative network intrusion prevention solution.
Network Associates McAfee IntruShield won the Well-Connected
2003 Award in the category of intrusion detection and prevention
systems, and this year received top honors in the intrusion
prevention systems category. McAfee IntruShield 4000 received
the 'Editor's Choice' award from Network Computing in September
2003 in a comparative review of network intrusion prevention
systems, which qualified the technology for the annual Well-Connected
Award. According to the published review, "Scorching
performance, robust attack detection and great analysis tools
are the hallmarks of IntruShield 4000."
