Aladdin Knowledge Systems, a
provider of Software DRM, strong authentication, and content
security solutions, has tied-up with SecureSynergy to offer secure
surfing and mailing services to enterprises and SME sector across
India at affordable rates.
SecureSynergy is offering 2 services -
Assure and Stream, built around Aladdin's eSafe platform.
Commenting on the association, Shailendra Sahasrabudhe,
country manager of Aladdin Knowledge Systems said that under this
partnership, Aladdin will support Secure Synergy on the technology
front by providing all the necessary hardware, latest software,
latest tools, the backend infrastructure; while Secure Synergy is
committed to provide sales and marketing support.
Referring
to the significance of this service for SMBs, Sahasrabudhe said,
"Today small and medium businesses often lack skills and money to
choose and manage the right equipment, which requires high capital
expenses. These equipments require trained manpower to manage and
maintain them, which sadly is difficult to get and retain. With
Secure Surfing and Secure Mailing Solution the subscribers can start
the service in a day's time, and avail maximum benefits with high
levels of security, without facing any challenges."
As part
of his presentation, he said, "If big companies want to invest huge
amounts in securing their data, what happens to the smaller
companies? To solve this problem, we have eSafe, which sits just
outside the internet gateway requiring no manpower to manage it."
The offering is intended to give the clients a centralized,
value-added security service that inspects and filters web traffic
as well as email traffic before it reaches the organization or the
web surfer. The service aims to give subscribers the freedom from
maintaining and managing any kind of appliances at their site to
thwart threats such as spam mails, spy-ware, and phishing attacks.
Ajit Pathak, country manager (sales operations) of
SecureSynergy, on the association with Aladdin Knowledge Systems,
said, "We will go through our existing channel network and have
Ingram Micro as our national distributor. We will get them to do
some local campaigning in the B and C class cities."
"The
advantage to a partner is that this is an addition to the product
portfolio. This will allow our partners to make some quick money
because they are not required to invest any money in this," said
Pathak while talking about the benefits that would accrue to their
partners. |
