SecureSynergy Launches Managed VirusScan

By ChannelTimes Staff
Mumbai, Jun 2, 2005

SecureSynergy, provider of information assurance services, has announced its next generation managed security service for small businesses and large enterprises that automatically protects desktops and servers against security threats.

This service includes Web-based administration and reporting, advanced spyware detection and intrusion prevention. The Web-based nature of the latest offering reduces the partner's cost of sale and also reduces the customer hassle of managing the antivirus.

Anil Menon, CEO, SecureSynergy, said, "Offering the managed security service enables our clients and channels to fully manage the IT infrastructure by reviewing detailed reports that identify virus attacks, vulnerable machines and other security threats. By providing this value-based service offering, we are able to service customers more effectively."

"Our managed security service offering is an added proof that we are committed to improving partner profitability. As promised, SecureSynergy continues to deliver offerings and services that will empower our channel partners," added Menon.

Managed VirusScan is ideal for businesses with limited IT expertise or do not have sufficient personnel necessary to implement and manage antivirus solutions, the company said. The Managed VirusScan service is built around Mcafee technology and delivered from SecureSynergy's Level 3 Datacenter.

The VirusScan can offer current and new customers outsourced management of their security solutions. Additionally, the offering allows for central management for substantially larger numbers of customers, significantly improving scalability. Through this new service, SecureSynergy partners can expand customer offerings and remotely manage a greater number of customers simultaneously, using the advanced Mcafee technology, the company said.

What is the potential for Managed VirusScan?
