New CEO of SecureSynergy frames aggressive channel strategy
By   Sharmee Roy
Monday, May 23, 2005

With the appointment of Anil Menon as the new CEO of SecureSynergy, the company has devised an aggressive strategy to drive its business. The vendor will be focusing on the northern and eastern region with few cities in south to get a stronger foothold in the country.

The company currently has five products out of which four of them are being pushed through the channels. Speaking to itVAR News, Anil Menon, CEO, SecureSynergy said, "We are relatively weak in the north where we would like to strengthen ourselves as well as in east. The cities which we intend to target are Delhi in north, Hyderabad and Kerala in south, Kolkata in east."

With a current channel base of over 35 in the country, the vendor is aiming to scale this number in the range of 60 to 70 within 3 months time frame.

SecureSynergy intends to get a major chunk of its partners in these areas while it will retrain and enhance the partner skill of the existing partners along with adding few more in Mumbai, Banglore and Chennai. "We will be starting our channel education program in early July. Our partners are put on board based on their commitment, the kind of selling they do, their account control and their ability to invest in manpower," informed Menon.

Besides channel expansion, the company intends to target banking and the government sector along with IT. The principal is also planning to launch a new product next month for which it has already identified partners.
