Anil Menon Takes Over as CEO of SecureSynergy

By Ankita Pandey
Mumbai, May 21, 2005

SecureSynergy, information assurance vendor, has announced the appointment of Anil Menon as its chief executive officer (CEO). Earlier, this position was held by Capt Felix Mohan. Mohan continues to be a part of the organization and will now serve as its director.

Speaking about his appointment, Menon said, "SecureSynergy has been growing from strength to strength over the last few years. We have a wonderful unit. We have increased our customer base to over 7,000 at present, and we are continuously looking to strengthen our channel base."

In his new role, Menon will be responsible for spearheading the organization in all its operating markets.

The company is also looking to grow its channel base, for which Menon has positive plans. He stated, "We cannot still say that our channel structure is 100 percent. We are looking at growth in all major cities of the country and will take some positive steps for the same in the future. We have recently hired a person who will look after channels centrally."

"We are also looking at a lot of channel orientation and training programs by July. We are looking at new service segments and will restructure the channel for the same. We will be launching some new products by June to grow our portfolio," Menon added.

Until recently, Menon held the position of senior vice president of SecureSynergy. He has been with the company for the last three years. He has over 15 years' experience in the IT industry and has worked with organizations like Sun Microsystems and Citrix before joining SecureSynergy.

Menon is a B-Tech in electronics & communication with an MBA in marketing management.

What are the challenges before Anil Menon?

One more step ahead for Anil. I think the dynamism which he displays while working in a team is exemplary. He is a good leader and a team player. I think if he is given the authority to get his team right, he can deliver. Who doesnot know that Citrix in all its avataars is Anil's gift in India. Cheers Anil and all the best- Gaurav Shukla( Ex-Business Manager-Citrix/TPIL)
