By ChannelTimes Staff
Mumbai, February 16, 2005

SecureSynergy announced that it has become India's first pure play security organisation to receive the BS 7799 Certificate for Information Security Management System from British Standard Institute (BSI).

Capt Felix Mohan, CEO, SecureSynergy, said, "It indeed is a happy moment for all of us at SecureSynergy for having achieved this International Certification. Since we pride ourselves in being a leading player in Information Assurance, it was imperative for the organization to achieve this standard to offer better and secure services to our global customers.

"The successful implementation of BS 7799 underscores our commitment to help both government and commercial organizations evaluate their systems and the threats they face and help them ensure information assurance. We are very proud to have achieved this important marketplace differentiator."

The BS7799 certification is one of the premier codes of practice for information security management in the industry. British Standards Institute conducted the audit. This specification defines requirements for establishing, implementing, and documenting an effective Information Security Management System.

Anil Menon, senior vice president, SecureSynergy, said, "We are delighted to earn this prestigious certification, which provides evidence of SecureSynergy's commitment to delivering superior service with the highest levels of security alertness and process.

"BS 7799 certification further helps SecureSynergy to develop, implement and manage effective processes and practices to manage information and ensure information security for our Consulting, Training and Managed Services customers. By meeting the requirements of today's leading industry standards, like BS 7799, we assure our customers and partners that their critical information is protected through meticulous procedures, policies, and best practices,' he added.
