SecureSynergy launches PatchEasy
Talk Back?

CRN Network January 23, 2004

Mumbai based SecureSynergy, a technology consulting company unveiled an automated patch management solution PatchEasy.

Patch management refers to automatic updating or "patching" of all networked PCs and Servers with the required updates, security patches, bug fixes, version upgrades, service packs and signature updates. This becomes essential to ensure that all the clients, servers and applications are running the most current and updated software to avoid security breaches or hacker attacks.

With PatchEasy, organizations of all size can manage and deploy patches with ease. In large enterprises with complex networking environments patch management process can be even more challenging. PatchEasy enables enterprises to review and deploy patches that have been thoroughly tested for interdependencies and compatibility within their unique IT environment.

According to Anil Menon, SVP, operations, SecureSynergy, "PatchEasy will help the organizations protect against thousands of new software vulnerabilities and viruses that come up every year. The close monitoring and testing features of PachEasy will protect the enterprises from most common vulnerabilities automatically."

PatchEasy automates patch management for all Microsoft business and consumer applications like Windows Server 2003, XP, IIS, MS Office, Internet Explorer and several others, according to a company press release.

The pricing of the automated patch managed solution is based on the number of PCs/Servers managed. PatchEasy will be available with One, Two and Three Year subscription options and will ship simultaneously across throughout the globe through SecureSynergy's partners.
